Custom Conductor Production
Most of the conductors used in manufacturing Athena Muse’s audio cables are custom-made by our direct request. We have finalized our conductors based on long-term research, examining various materials, specifications, thicknesses, and shapes, and conducting countless sound tests. We examine and test various aspects, such as sound changes due to cable structure and those that appear during the productization process.
02
Pre-processing & ARP
Custom-made conductors go through several processing stages before production a proprietary process developed by Athena Muse. We inject or pass specific energy into the conductor depending on its type and thickness. This is distinct from standard burn-in. We call this “ARP (Athenamuse Re-creation Processing)”.
The ARP process uses in-house developed equipment and plays a crucial role in shaping the Athenamuse sound.
03
Teflon Insulation
The primary insulation for most Athena Muse cables is Teflon. While there are other materials, protecting expensive audio equipment from potential short circuits is our highest priority. Teflon offers high thermal stability, chemical resistance, electrical resistance, and low dielectric constant. Depending on the product, we use varying thicknesses and multiple layers of insulation.
04
Optimized Shielding
While applying close to 100% shielding has theoretical advantages, from an actual audio perspective, excessive shielding can sometimes lead to a loss of a certain aspect of the sound. At Athena Muse, we have tested numerous forms to determine the appropriate shielding depending on the type and shape of the cable, applying optimized shielding for each specific product’s sound profile. specifications, thicknesses, and shapes, and conducting countless sound tests. We examine and test various aspects, such as sound changes due to cable structure and those that appear during the productization process.
05
Post-processing
After manufacturing, products go through post-processing steps.
This includes demagnetization and a second phase of our proprietary ARP process, which differs from the pre-processing ARP.
Various unseen know-hows and unique technologies are embedded in our products to finalize the pure sound characteristic of Athenamuse.
